Random (theological) thoughts about GE 2015

1. If you aren’t happy with a perfect King, you’ll never be happy with an imperfect government.

2. If you can’t submit to the authority of a perfect King, you’ll never submit to the leadership of an imperfect government.

3. If you place all your hopes of the future of the country solely upon the shoulders of whom you hope gets elected into government, your hopes will be dashed. Mere mortals were not meant to be gods.

“The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the plans of his heart to all generations.” Psalm 33:11
Ultimately, the hope of a Christian is in the sovereign God who rules all affairs concerning man. There are no authorities that are in place that are not according to His plan and purpose. The most important thing a Christian can do therefore, is pray: as the Lord Jesus Himself taught us, “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” Amen.
