A Good Friday Poem

Something I wrote years ago. A short, simple meditation on the Cross.

AT THE CROSS
At the Cross, where justice and mercy did meet
And the world pierced those hands and feet
The blood ran down that head bowed down
A sacrifice supreme at Calvary’s mound

When I think of what my Savior bore
My heart is piecred to the core
And so I give my life to Him because
It’s there my Friend met me at the Cross
