Prosperity ‘gospel’?

“as poor yet making many rich…” 2 Corinthians 6:10

The first disciples were not well off materially, yet they made many rich spiritually by giving them the gospel.
Modern day prosperity preachers are well off materially, riding on the riches given them by their flock and thus not only impoverishing them materially, but also spiritually, because of the false gospel being peddled.

Bold assertion indeed! To some, this “blessing of material wealth” is a promise to those who exercise the “God kind of faith” oftentimes based on a prayer in 1 John 3:2. Sadly, its more like a presumption, as scriptural text relied on are actually proverbs, or promises directed personally to individuals in specific historical and national (Israel’s) context.
I’ve found many sound and comprehensive comments in; and even downloaded them in the pdf version of the journal.
